Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, JATC
The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) is a joint committee made up of representatives from both labor and management partnering together to produce the best-trained Electricians in the Electrical Industry.
The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee is a partnership of labor and management organized to train those wishing to undertake such a challenge. The training consists of a two-part program of work and school. During the day the apprentice will earn pay while working on a construction project and will attend school at night, learning electrical theory and getting valuable hands-on laboratory experience.

SUFFOLK COUNTY MASTER ELECTRICAL LICENSES:
Effective June 8, 2019, All Suffolk County Master Electrical License holders will be required to obtain a minimum of 8 hours of Continuing Education Training Units in order to renew their Suffolk County Electrical License.
Restricted License Holders will be required to obtain a minimum of 4 hours of Continuing Education Training Units.
License holders will need to complete this training within the two-year period prior to their license renewal date and the course curriculum will be based on current National Electric Code.
